We had a pleasant stay in Kacha Resort, but because of the lack of character, the busy surroundings and the rocky beach, it didn’t made the cut for our top 4* Hotels in Koh Chang list. We did not come back to Kacha Resort the second time around in Koh Chang.
The beach in front of Kacha Resort
At high tide, you don’t find a beach at the Kacha Resort & Spa. You find a wood deck with deck chairs under trees. At low tide, you find a stretch a beach to walk in the sand at sunset and watch little crabs (but with quite a lot of rocks compared to other places).
Nice big swimming pool, with several type of lounge chairs.
The room is convenient, comfortable and clean. We received everyday a present at the room cleaning: chocolate, fruits, sweets.
Our room was situated next to the beach. There is another big building on the other side of the street which sounds much less appealing.
The bathroom is convenient and big.
Kacha Resort & Spa met our standard of hygiene (I’m picky, trust me).
Breakfast & restaurant
Nothing much to report. Kacha’s breakfast was in the normal range for this kind of hotel, nothing fantastic but does the job.
The hotel is busy, you don’t find calm and silence.
Restaurants & shops close by
You find many restaurants and shops within a walking distance, including a coffee shop which is always welcome for coffein addicts like us.
The plus we really enjoyed
At the Kacha Resort & Spa, we enjoyed being closed to White Sand beach and its busy restaurants and shops.
I enjoyed the sunset reading on the wooden deck facing the ocean. François liked going in a coffee shop early in the morning.
We stayed 2 nights and carried on our trip to stay at Little Miss Sunshine. We like to alternate busy hotel with calm.
